About us
Schulgren Developments is Drake Hallgren and Jordan Schultz, two friends from Drayton Valley building across the Greater Edmonton Region.
01 Our story
We grew up together in Drayton Valley. Life took us in different directions until we reconnected working in restaurant management, a job that teaches you fast how to run a crew, keep a schedule and look after people.
Our careers since then have prepared us for building. Drake went into the oilfield and Jordan into land surveying. Schulgren Developments puts those skills to work on the kind of projects people in this region actually need, starting with heated shops and outbuildings and growing into custom homes.
Our sister company, North Vector Rentals, supplies the diesel heaters and tarps that keep us building through an Alberta winter.
Alberta needs more buildings, and builders who do the job right. We’ve spent years on oilfield sites and survey crews watching projects succeed or fail on planning, honesty and follow-through. We started Schulgren to bring that same standard home.
For our customers, that means a clear price, a written contract, payments tied to real progress, and builders who pick up the phone.
02 Our backgrounds
Drake brings years of oilfield experience to the table, including leading major installation projects and managing trades. That work is about planning the sequence, keeping crews coordinated and holding the work to spec when conditions aren’t ideal.
He brings the same discipline to every Schulgren build.
Jordan is an experienced land surveyor. Surveying means knowing exactly where a building sits on the land, including grades, setbacks and elevations, before the first shovel goes in.
On a Schulgren build, placement, drainage and setbacks are worked out before the forms go in.
